Description: In the world of foster care, adoption, and kinship care, many unique challenges can leave parents with a sense of hopelessness. Come join us as we identify ways to deal with feelings of shame and ideas about how to be compassionate with your children and yourself. The ideas and techniques
presented in this workshop will help you to approach raising your children with positivity, even when facing difficult issues. If you enjoy learning through doing, you will gain practical skills to use with both your children and yourself. This workshop is designed to leave you with a better understanding of healthy ways to approach the difficult work of raising foster, adopted, kin, and birth children. This training will utilize exercises and small and large group discussions.
