PRIDE, sessions 1 & 2

Location: Family and Children Services, 778 West Columbia, Battle Creek, MI 49015

Details: To qualify for PRIDE registration, all applicants must have completed Orientation, filed anApplication, and submitted Fingerprints for enrollment with an agency of their choice. Yourassigned licensing/adoption worker must register you for the PRIDE Sessions. In a two caregiver home, both applicants must complete all PRIDE training sessions. At least 12 hours of PRIDE training must be completed prior to licensureAll PRIDE trainings must be completed within 1 year of licensure.

 

**PLEASE DO NOT BRING CHILDREN TO PRIDE TRAINING**

There will be topics discussed that are not appropriate for children.  Child care is not provided.

 

 

*PRIDE is offered at no charge to foster/adoptive applicants/licensees from the following Calhoun County Interagency Coalition members: Family Enrichment Center, Calhoun County DHS, Branch County DHS, Barry County DHS/Barry County Commission on Aging, Bethany Christian Services, Family & Children Services (F&CS), Lutheran Social Services of Michigan (LSSM), and Starr Commonwealth (Starr), and Youth Guidance.

Legal Aid and Defender Association, Inc.

Location: Southfield Human Services, 26080 Berg Rd., Southfield, MI

Details: The Legal Aid and Defender Association staff will assist low income and eligible residents who qualify for their services, by providing legal advice and answering questions regarding legal matters. Please arrive by 10 a.m. to register, as LAD staff will only assist those persons registered by 10 a.m.
