Registration is now open for your youth to be featured on the 2024 Heart Gallery!! If you have waiting youth and would like to register them to be a part of the 2024 gallery, please visit our website, www.mare.org, or click on the link below!

Youth will begin to be matched with volunteer photographers starting as early as February and into March 2024 or as soon as they are registered so please don't delay! During the matching process, workers will be emailed with the matched photographer's information and instructions for scheduling the photo shoots. It is the worker's responsibility to contact the photographer and schedule the photo shoot for their youth promptly once receiving the match assignment. 

The deadline to register your youth to participate in this year's display is February 9th, 2023. With close to 100 youth currently featured on the display it’s important to register your waiting youth prior to the deadline if you want to guarantee that they are matched with a photographer and will be featured on the display. So don't delay, register them as soon as possible! If a youth is registered after the deadline please contact Jessica Thompson directly to ensure that the youth can still be matched with a photographer.

Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) would like to invite you to register for a Meet & Greet!  We hope to help youth and families make connections at our in-person meet and greets! So come join us for an afternoon of fun!

• 11 AM - 2 PM (Youth and Families plan to arrive at 10:30 AM for registration and a brief orientation. The debrief and exit surveys will begin at 1:30 PM.)

Waiting youth:  Priority will be given to youth without any pending inquiries through MARE, youth who have never been to a meet and greet and youth who were not in attendance at a recent MARE Meet and Greet. If a child participated in a recent meet and greet, all inquiries from the last event should be resolved before the child can attend the next event. Once a child has been registered, a confirmation email will be sent to their adoption worker with the zoom information for the event. All attending youth MUST be legally free for adoption, photo listed with MARE and listed as "Open" on the MARE website.

Please note when registering waiting youth: Adoption workers, if you register a youth for a meet and greet and you anticipate they will have a status change prior to the event date, please notify me so that we can discuss if it would be appropriate for that youth to still attend the event. 

Adoptive families:  Families will receive a confirmation email after MARE has spoken with their adoption worker to verify they have a completed adoption homestudy with the zoom details for the event.  All families must be approved for adoption to attend.  Please note:  It is MARE policy that only prospective adoptive parents participate in meet and greet events.  We ask that you do not have children/teens participate with you during the event.
