Description: You will not want to miss this training if you are raising children from the child welfare system! T.C. Lopez, LMMSW, and Jonathon Albert, BS, CTS, have hands-on experience working with families whose children have experienced trauma. This training will look at the impact of trauma on children’s behavior and functioning at home and in school. It will emphasize how parents can help their children develop self-regulation and co-regulation skills as well as why taking care of yourself is important. If you want to learn effective strategies to parent traumatized children and learn how to better support yourself, you will want to attend this training. This training will utilize role playing, exercises, large group discussion, and visual displays.
