Details: A workshop for parents and providers of children with special needs presented by Kent Intermediate School District. Keynote - An inspirational panel of students share their experiences of building "Connections" through peer tutoring, social events and extracurricular activities that benefit all students.  Leave with a tool kit to help make a difference at your child's school.  Breakout topics include:  How to be your child's best advocate, Parenting strategies to manage behavior, Assistive technology in early childhood, Communication support and sensory information, Tips and strategies for IEPs.  $15 registration per person -- continental breakfast and lunch included.  Free childcare with advance registration.  For questions email DawnRess@kentisd.org or MandyLovell@kentisd.org.
