Join MARE for a relaxed, fun-filled afternoon where prospective adoptive parents and youth can connect through games, activities, and conversation. It's a fantastic opportunity to meet, laugh, and enjoy the day with some of our incredible waiting youth. Lunch will be provided!

Please arrive at 10:30 am for check-in and orientation. 

Adoptive Families: 

• To attend, you must be approved to adopt in Michigan or be a licensed foster parent.
• After you register, you are not yet confirmed to attend until we verify your homestudy with your worker. Once confirmed, you’ll be emailed the event details and address.
• Only pre-adoptive parents may attend. Please do not bring other children.
• Space is limited, so register early!
• If your plans should change, let us know so we can offer your spot to a waitlisted family.

Adoption Workers:

• Priority is given to youth with no pending inquiries, those who have not attended a Meet & Greet, or those who haven’t attended one recently.
• Eligible youth must be legally free for adoption, photolisted on MARE, listed as “Open,” and have no pending inquiries from a previous Meet & Greet.
• Once approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email with the event details and address.
• If a youth’s status may change before the event, please contact Jessica Thompson to discuss the youth’s attendance.
