Join MARE for a relaxed, fun-filled afternoon where prospective adoptive parents and youth can connect through games, activities, and conversation. It's a fantastic opportunity to meet, laugh, and enjoy the day with some of our incredible waiting youth. Lunch will be provided!

Please arrive at 10:30 am for check-in and orientation. 

Adoptive Families: 

• To attend, you must be approved to adopt in Michigan or be a licensed foster parent.
• After you register, you are not yet confirmed to attend until we verify your homestudy with your worker. Once confirmed, you’ll receive the event details and address via email prior to the event.
• Only pre-adoptive parents may attend. Please do not bring other children with you.
• Space is limited, so register early!
• If your plans change, let us know so we can offer your spot to a waitlisted family.

Adoption Workers:

• Priority is given to youth with no pending inquiries, those who have not attended a Meet & Greet, or those who haven’t attended one recently.
• Eligible youth must be legally free for adoption, photolisted on MARE, listed as “Open,” and have no pending inquiries from a previous Meet & Greet.
• Once approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email with the event details and address.
• If a youth’s status may change before the event, please contact Jessica Thompson to discuss the youth’s attendance.
