Waiting to be matched with a child can bring a mix of emotions and questions—and MARE’s Waiting Family Forum can help!

Join our Adoption Navigators to learn what happens after you submit inquiries on MARE’s website, discover ways to make the most of your wait, get tips for strengthening your inquiries, gain strategies to effectively advocate for your family, and connect with other waiting families. You’ll also be able to ask questions, discuss challenges, and share your experiences with others who understand the ups and downs of this stage of the adoption process.

Who should attend: Michigan families approved to adopt or awaiting homestudy approval. (If you’re early in the process, you may want to attend a future Waiting Family Forum when you’re closer to approval; they’re offered quarterly.)

Details: Pre-registration is required. The training is free, and you’ll receive a certificate upon request. A reminder email with Zoom login details and handouts will be sent the week before the event. Please plan to have your camera on so everyone can engage, ask questions, and participate together.
